Gatherers

Biography

New Jersey’s Gatherers announced their signing to Equal Vision Records in March 2015, with the release of a bold new music video for “God Deluxe”, from their sophomore full length, Quiet World.
“Thematically, “God Deluxe” deals with consumerism and our constant need to industrialize at all costs. There’s something terribly ugly with a culture that thrives on false needs many of which delude people to the point of detachment from one another. Who can build it higher? Who can wear it sexier? New Jersey’s Gatherers announced their signing to Equal Vision Records in March 2015, with the release of a bold new music video for “God Deluxe”, from their sophomore full length, Quiet World.
“Thematically, “God Deluxe” deals with consumerism and our constant need to industrialize at all costs. There’s something terribly ugly with a culture that thrives on false needs many of which delude people to the point of detachment from one another. Who can build it higher? Who can wear it sexier? Whatever it is, we need it now and we will literally kill for it.”

Following “God Deluxe” the band released “Assembly” – another thought provoking song that serves as a dialogue between people and religion. “It’s sort of a bird’s eye view of a world tearing itself apart to a point where their own beliefs abandon them,” shares vocalist Rich Weinberger.
With Quiet World, Gatherers has created a truly unparalleled emotional and cathartic experience, enveloping listeners into a captivating world of anger, intensity and frustration. Quiet World is the follow up to their first EP, Postcards (2012), and their debut full length Caught Between a Rock and a Sad Place (2013), both under the band’s original moniker of ‘Gatherer’.
Quiet World was released on July 31, while the band was out on the 2015 Common Vision Tour alongside Every Time I Die, Real Friends, Counterparts, and Brigades.
