Equal Vision Records’ hip hop artist Upgrade is now premiering a video for “Road Less Traveled” via Alternative Press, alongside a personal essay on his journey of seeking and maintaining balance in mental health. The song comes from his debut full-length, Chemical Imbalance: Another Dose, which is out now.
“Chemical Imbalance is the most important project I have ever made,” he shares. “Very rarely are these topics talked about, especially in hip hop, but if I didn’t talk about it, I wouldn’t be real to myself. I continue on this road less traveled hoping to bring awareness to mental health, strike up conversation and help people who struggle everyday.”
Venturing into dark lyrical territories, the album explores anxiety, insecurity and addiction – […]
Today, Night Verses is offering a unique journey throughout space with their stunning animated short film for “Strange Graves”, that was illustrated by Night Verses drummer Aric Improta and created by Adam Davis. The music video is premiering now via Youtube.com/equalvision.
“Collaborating with Adam was great. He created a whole world and contemplative space out of the concept art that really matches the feel of the song,” notes Improta. “The juxtaposition of the digital animation and the drawings I do by hand gave the visuals a distinct look that wasn’t overly polished, but managed to be complex.”
The intricate art follows the release of the intense video for “A Dialogue in Cataplexy” – a video that is not for the faint of […]
