Over the past decade plus, Max Bemis has developed a hard-earned reputation for avoiding ‘the norm’ with each Say Anything release. In unveiling his latest record, I Don’t Think It Is, via a midnight social media post Wednesday night, Max didn’t so much avoid the ‘traditional’ album release process as he did abandon it.

Substream Magazine has just premiered the official video for Upgrade HipHop’s track, “I Don’t Fit In.” Featuring a melodic chorus (courtesy of Heather Williams) the track is among Upgrade’s most personal lyrically.  “I Don’t Fit In” specifically addresses the artists experience living with an anxiety disorder that always separated him as an outsider.

SECRET SPACE RELEASES ACOUSTIC VERSION OF “I WILL NOT SURVIVE THIS”

While in the studio recording their forthcoming full-length, Equal Vision Records’ Secret Space filmed a heartwrenching acoustic version of “I Will Not Survive This” – a song from the band’s recently released self-titled debut EP. The video, which showcases Dean Tartaglia’s ethereal vocals and rich tones, is premiering now at Youtube.com/equalvision.

The Toledo, OH-based trio draws influences from modern indie pop and 90s emo rock; And is comprised of vocalist / multi-instrumentalist Dean Tartaglia, bassist Zach Ruetz and drummer Steve Warstler.

WATERPARKS PREMIERES ‘CLUSTER’ EP

Houston, TX’s Waterparks is now premiering their new EP – Cluster – at Youtube.com/equalvision. Cluster was recorded with producers Benji Madden (Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds of Summer) and Courtney Ballard (5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low).

Houston, TX’s Waterparks has partnered with AltPress.com for the release of “Mad All The Time” – the second new song from their EP, Cluster. The album will be out on January 15 via Equal Vision Records.

“We wrote this one right before Waterparks got signed and things started going well, so the lyrics come from a darker, more frustrated place than our other songs,” shares vocalist/guitarist Awsten Knight. “Recording “Mad All The Time” was sick because we kept it just like the demo but made it 50,000 times bigger.
