Los Angeles, CA’s Elitist, has partnered with Alternative Press for the debut of their new single and music video for “Numbered”. The music video was directed by Ernie Gilbert (Bayside, letlive., Set It Off) and can be seen now at!

‘”Numbered” is a good representation of the musical elements that are featured on our upcoming full-length album as a whole,” reveals vocalist Chris Balay. “It was the first song we wrote for the album, and gives a taste of the progression the band has made, yet stays true to the Elitist sound. This song is about being happy with yourself and the life you lead, not always wanting more. It is only when we love ourselves that we can truly love each other.”

The song comes from the band’s forthcoming sophomore full-length, which was co-produced by Daniel Braunstein (Volumes, Elitist) and Julian Rodriguez and recorded at DB Music Studios in Woodland Hills, CA and Parallel Focus Studios in Westlake Village, CA, and is expected to be released later this year. The song will also be available digitally for purchase tomorrow, Tuesday March 3 as a standalone single on iTunes and AmazonMP3, and as a free, instant MP3 grat track with all purchases made from the band’s Official Web Store.

Standing out among the many memorable elements on the new album is Balay’s wildly dynamic vocal range, which offers a perfect contrast of both guttural screams and smooth, soaring cleans, that are backed musically with dark, heavy riffs, and an overall impressive technical prowess instrumentally.

To date, Elitist has self-released one full-length album: Reshape Reason (2012) and three EPs: Caves (2010), Earth (2011) and Between the Balance (2013), the latter of which charted on the Billboard New Artist, Hard Rock and Independent Albums charts.

Elitist is comprised of Chris Balay (vocals), Julian Rodriguez (guitar), Brian McGraw (bass), Ben Kazenoff (drums).
