AbsolutePunk.net posts new unreleased Damiera song

The always-active new music webzine, AbsolutePunk.net has posted a brand new, unreleased song from Damiera called “The Disillusionist.”

“The Disillusionist” is the first song written since back in April when 3/4-ths of the band quit to pursue other interests, bringing Damiera’s progress to a screeching halt.

Now, with three new members, Damiera is back and stronger than ever with a new outlook at the future of the band. They’re kicking off a summer tour on August 2nd in Omaha, and will eventually meet up with Down To Earth Approach, then Scary Kids Scaring Kids later in the month.

YouInSeries supporting Fear Before The March of Flames on summer tour

We are proud to announce that the opening slot on Fear Before The March of Flames’ summer headlining tour has been filled by labelmates YouInSeries!

The Las Vegas based YouInSeries stepped up after the original supporting band, Hot Cross, broke up just days before the tour was set to begin.

For most of last year, YouInSeries had been living in dormancy following two substantial member changes. Now they’re back and stronger than ever, and have welcomed new members Kevin Ryan (guitar) and Daniel Conway (drums) to their lineup.

The band released their debut album, Outside We Are Fine through Equal Vision in May 2006 and followed the release with a nationwide tour with Circa Survive and The Receiving End of Sirens.

Hot Cross breaks up (2000 – 2007)

Just days before their scheduled tour with Fear Before The March of Flames and This Will Destroy You, influential Philadelphia-based four-piece Hot Cross have broken up. Last Friday the band released a note through their website simply stating:

Thanks for everything. We are indefinitely inactive as of 7/6/07. No reason to get into why this is happening. Just know we appreciate your support over the last seven years.

For the majority of their career, Hot Cross put out their own releases through drummer Greg Drudy’s own Level Plane Records, booked their own tours, and navigated every aspect of their band.
