Converge “Jane Doe” Deluxe Gatefold Vinyl reissue

Originally released during turbulent times in September 2001, Jane Doe was one of the darkest, bleakest, and most punishing acts of musical emoting ever committed to tape. Jane Doe took Converge‘s musical aggression, creativity and penchant for artistic nihilism-as-therapy to unparalleled emotional depths. In the end, aggressive music would never be the same, as this 12-step conceptual journey of despair and loss, raised the bar musically and visually for the genre forever.

Equal Vision Records has granted an exclusive license to Deathwish Inc, the label co-managed by Converge vocalist Jacob […]

Damiera self-producing new album due this summer

For the last four months, Damiera have been locked in their rehearsal space in Niagara Falls, NY writing and recording Quiet Mouth, Loud Hands, the follow-up to their 2007 debut, M(US)IC.

Interestingly enough, Damiera’s new bassist, Jayson DeZuzio is a seasoned producer who manned the boards for Coheed & Cambria’s The Second Stage Turbine Blade, early My Chemical Romance recordings, and Damiera’s debut release, M(US)IC, before he permanently joined the band in June of 2007.

“Jayson and I spent the first month making and trashing ideas” says Raymond. “Rehearsal as a group brought about eight songs to completion during the month of December.”

But creating the album hasn’t been without it’s share of problems.

“We lost about three weeks when the roof leaked on […]
