POLYPHIA STREAMS NEW ALBUM RENAISSANCE
Polyphia is now premiering their stunning sophomore album, Renaissance in full via youtube.com/Polyphia.
The Dallas, TX-based instrumental outfit also recently premiered music videos for “Nightmare”, “Euphoria” and “Crush”, which have already garnered nearly one million views combined. The videos can be seen HERE.
Renaissance can be pre-ordered now via polyphia.merchnow.com and through digital retailers such as iTunes and will be available for purchase everywhere on Friday, March 11. All pre-orders include an instant digital download of “Euphoria”, “Crush” and “Nightmare”. The first pressing of vinyl for Renaissance is limited to 1000, with two color variants: 500 of black with white splatter [pre-order / retail exclusive] and 500 of white with black splatter [tour exclusive].
The album was recorded with Nick Sampson (Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men) who co-produced it with Polyphia guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage. Renaissance introduces a new conceptual and artistic direction for the trio’s sound, vibe and visual aesthetic, that sees the band embracing their eclectic musical tastes (which include EDM, hip hop, pop and classical music) to create their own innovative blend of technical, yet melodic instrumental arrangements.
Polyphia will kick off their full US run with CHON and Strawberry Girls in Pomona, CA on Friday, March 11. The band has previously toured and shared stages with the likes of Animals As Leaders, Periphery, Between The Buried and Me, August Burns Red and Every Time I Die. All upcoming tour dates can be found below.
Renaissance is the follow up to Muse, the band’s debut full-length that has sold over 10k copies to date and which landed on several Billboard Charts including: No. 5 on Internet Albums, No. 6 on Hard Rock Albums, No. 13 on Independent Albums, No. 22 on Top Rock Albums, No. 71 on Top Current Albums, and No. 76 on Top 200. Through Muse, the band also found early supporters in the likes of Dunlop, Ibanez and Guitar World.
