THIS PATCH OF SKY DEBUT “COORDINATES (44°06’12″N 121°46’09″W)” WITH HUFFINGTON POST

Today, via a premiere with Huffington Post, Eugene-based cinematic rock outfit, This Patch Of Sky, debuted “Coordinates (44°06’12″N 121°46’09″W)”. This latest single is a breathtaking composition full of ethereal synths, perfectly placed guitars and emotive cello circling a steady roll of percussion and a bassline that expertly ties the track together. “Coordinates (44°06’12″N 121°46’09″W)” is emotionally grabbing and sonically complex; epic in the way Sigur Ros, Godspeed You Black Empire or Explosions In The Sky can leave you captivated. You can hear “Coordinates (44°06’12″N 121°46’09″W)” now on YouTube, Spotify or most other streaming outlets: https://TPOS.lnk.to/thesesmallspaces

“Coordinates (44°06’12″N 121°46’09″W)” is the third single from This Patch Of Sky’s upcoming full-length These Small Spaces, the band’s fourth album out Friday September 22nd on Graphic Nature / Equal Vision Records. It follows “Bella Muerte” and “Pale Lights”, for which the band partnered with BrooklynVegan and Adobe Create Magazine respectively for the premieres.

The nine tracks on These Small Spaces (artwork above) takes listeners on a dynamic journey that navigates from eerie, somber soundscapes into gentle tapestries that build effortlessly into grandiose, soaring compositions – creating a sonic masterpiece, where instruments alone create a powerful and universal language. That stunning instrumental language is composed by This Patch Of Sky’s six members: Kit Day (guitar), Joshua Carlton (guitar), Joel Erickson (Rhodes), Alex Abrams (cello), Sean King (bass) and TJ Martin-Lokey (drums).

These Small Spaces was produced and mixed by the esteemed Matt Bayles (Caspian, Minus The Bear, Russian Circles) at Red Room Recording Studio in Seattle, WA in just one week’s time. The album was later mastered by the renowned Ed Brooks (Pearl Jam, Cursive, Pelican) of Resonant Mastering. These Small Spaces is the follow-up to This Patch of Sky’s self-titled release (LP, 2014), Heroes and Ghosts (LP, 2013), Newly Risen, How Brightly You Shine (EP, 2012) and The Immortal, The Invisible (EP, 2011).
