A LOT LIKE BIRDS RELEASE SONG/MUSIC VIDEO “FOR SHELLEY (UNHEARD)”; LAUNCH PRE-ORDER
Sacramento rock band A Lot Like Birds has premiered a brand new video for “For Shelley (Unheard),” the moving first single from their forthcoming album DIVISI, which will be released on May 5th, 2017. Fans can watch the video, as well as check out the track’s lyrics and a personal statement from vocalist Cory Lockwood, here. The band’s complete album pre-order options will launch later today via MerchNow.
In support of the new album, A Lot Like Birds will be embarking on a North American headline tour this spring with Household, Hearts Like Lions, and OWEL. The tour kicks off in Albuquerque on April 25th, with VIP ticket packages, including an exclusive acoustic performance, available now, here: Alotlikebirds.soundrink.com. For a full list of upcoming shows, please see below.
A Lot Like Birds’ constant musical evolution and entrancing live shows, combined with their down-to-earth personalities, proved to be just the right fit for Equal Vision Records, who signed the band in 2012. “Signing to Equal Vision used to just be a daydream for most of us,” explains lead singer Cory Lockwood. “When we were growing up and still playing in previous bands, Equal Vision was putting out CDs by incredible artists that we admire like Bear vs Shark, The Fall of Troy and Circa Survive.”
Today A Lot Like Birds shares a spot on the Equal Vision Roster with the impressive likes of Saves The Day, Say Anything, Matt Pryor (of The Get Up Kids), The Dear Hunter, Eisley, I the Mighty, Vinnie Caruana, and more.
DIVISI will be the band’s second release on the Upstate NY-based independent label, and the first featuring their brand new line up: Cory Lockwood (vocals), Michael Franzino (guitar), Ben Wiacek (guitar), Matt Coate (bass/vocals), and Joe Arrington (drums). The album, which represents a dramatic shift in sound and a new direction for the band, will be released on May 5th, 2017.
