Chiodos “Illuminaudio” Available Now
The brand new Chiodos album, Illuminaudio, is now available in stores and online. This is the debut Chiodos recording for new members, vocalist Brandon Bolmer (formerly of Yesterdays Rising) and drummer Tanner Wayne (formerly of Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Underminded).
Bolmer and Wayne join Bradley Bell (keys), Matt Goddard (bass), Pat McManaman (guitar) and Jason Hale (guitar) on Chiodos‘ third full-length album and the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2007 release, Bone Palace Ballet.
“A common theme in the record is dealing with life’s transitions so I believe a lot of it is pretty relatable on a multitude of personal levels,” Bell states. “I hope that people can use Illuminaudio as an escape from their problems and see a light at the end of the tunnel no matter what their situation.”
Alternative Press describes Illuminaudio as “…a ferociously ambitious album, anthemic and operatic but loaded with post-hardcore screaming, avalanches of drums and choruses meant (and destined) to be screamed back at the stage by the audience.” AbsolutePunk.net similarly praises the album stating that the album is “…by far the most pleasant surprise of 2010…” and that “…Chiodos have managed to keep the signature sound that has always separated them from the rest of the post-hardcore pack.”
Chiodos will next head out on the “Congregation of the Damned” tour with Atreyu, blessthefall, Architects (UK), and Endless Hallway. “I’m amped that the day has come where people can finally hear this work of art. We’re all excited to see everyone singing along at the upcoming shows this fall,” Bolmer concludes. Complete tour dates can be seen below.
