CIRCA SURVIVE ANNOUNCES ‘ON LETTING GO’ TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR AND SPECIAL DELUXE EDITION VINYL & DIGITAL RELEASE
Equal Vision Records’ alumni artist Circa Survive will release a deluxe version of their sophomore album, On Letting Go, in digital and vinyl formats in early 2017. The album was originally released on May 28, 2007 via Equal Vision Records and produced by Brian McTernan at Salad Days Studio, as the follow-up to Juturna. To date, On Letting Go has sold nearly 150,000 units and initially remained on the Billboard Charts for over 12 weeks upon its release, including peak spots of #2 Independent, #3 Internet, #7 Top Rock, #7 Tastemakers, #24 Top 200 and #24 Top Album Sales Chart.
Today, Circa Survive has also announced an extensive full US headline tour celebrating the ten year anniversary of On Letting Go. The tour will kick off on January 12 in Boston, MA and wrap up on March 6 in Cleveland, OH. mewithoutYou and Turnover will perform as support on the entire run. A limited amount of VIP tickets are available per show that include a ticket, single LP with VIP exclusive screenprinted cover, wall flag, group photo, signed poster, Q&A session and an intimate three-song acoustic set. The special anniversary vinyl release options include: a triple LP version at circasurvive.merchnow.com (limited to 2500) featuring a blue and purple mix with black splatter (disc one: original LP), white and blue mix (disc two: album demos), and red and grey mix (disc three: extras/balloon art etching); And a single LP version featuring the 12 original tracks only, which will be available on clear with red splatter (limited to 4000) as part of the tour’s VIP package, on 180 gram black (limited to 2000) via retailers, and a transparent orange and opaque white mix (limited to 2500) via MerchNOW. Both the single LP and triple LP will include a digital download of the original album and all the bonus tracks and stems.
“So many moments on that record personified what Circa Survive was starting to become,” reflects vocalist Anthony Green. “I’m really excited to revisit that with all of the knowledge we’ve been able to pick up since. It was a wild time in my life and it’s kind of an escape for me now to go back to that and celebrate it!”
