Coheed and Cambria Announce “Neverender: Second Stage Turbine Blade- An Evening With Coheed and Cambria” Tour

Coheed and Cambria today gave full details about their plans this spring to perform their debut album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, in it is entirety in 22 cities across the US and in Toronto, Canada. The “Evening with” format will also feature a rare 30-40 minute acoustic set, as well as an extra set of songs from other albums.

In 2001, Coheed and Cambria solidified their lineup and began playing shows as a band. They also started work in singer/guitarist Claudio Sanchez’s bedroom on what would become their groundbreaking debut album on Equal Vision Records. In the ten years since, the band have released five studio albums, three live DVDs, and established themselves as one of the world’s great rock bands with one of the fiercest followings known in any genre.

One of the DVDs was the monstrous box-set “Neverender,” which documented the band’s four-night-stand at Terminal 5 in New York City in October 2008, where the band played all four of their albums over four nights to 10,000 fans.

“Neverender was such a big event for us and our fans and we constantly get requests to do it again,” Sanchez states. “So we felt since it was our 10-year anniversary we’d create an event with that in mind, but a little different, and first and foremost to be able to take it to more cities, rather than just the top two or three in the US.”

Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 14th in most cities. Go to facebook.com/coheedandcambria for specific ticket information.
