Converge “Jane Doe” Named Best Album of 2000’s by AOL’s NoiseCreep
AOL’s hardcore & metal site, NoiseCreep, recently conducted a poll among bands, metal fans, and music industry folks for their top picks of the 2000’s and Converge’s Jane Doe was awarded the top spot on the list.
“Everything from vocalist Jacob Bannon’s iconic album sleeve to Kurt Ballou’s jarring guitar sound on the record has gone on to redefine what the public’s perception of what hardcore and metal are,” the article commends. “No matter what Converge has done since or will do in the future, the album will always be the touchstone on which the rest of their career is compared to.”
Jane Doe was released in 2001 on Equal Vision Records.
