Craig Owens announces rescheduled solo tour dates
Craig Owens will venture back out on the road this October, for ‘An Evening with Craig Owens and Friends’ solo shows, which will be presented by Glamour Kills Clothing.
Sharing the stage with Owens, as the opening act, will be Orlando, FL-based artist Bearcat.
Fans should expect an intimate, laid back show with a stripped down set, featuring brand new, unreleased solo songs from Owens, as well as fan favorites from nearly all of his projects over the years.
The newly revealed dates serve as a makeup to a previously announced solo run that had been cancelled earlier this year.
Owens explains, “It feels great to finally have these shows rescheduled and announced; A huge sigh of relief. To me, there is nothing worse than having to cancel dates and let down the people who spent their hard earned money and time planning to come and see you. So, it’s very important for me to make sure that I follow through on making it up to the fans giving them the show we both looked forward to having.” He continues, “A lot really has happened over these past few months. In fact, so much has happened that I feel like each month has been about six months long. In that time though, I have personally accomplished more then I have in years previous – again, personally speaking. I have found a way to live a happier and better life; finding the balance in everything around me and still working very hard at maintaining it.”
Owens’ latest released solo work includes a featured spot on Flint, MI-based rapper Jon Connor’s new mix tape, While You Were Sleeping. Owens sings on the free, downloadable album‘s last track, “Standing In the Sun”. Owens is also fresh off of a weekend of massive Chiodos reunion shows in New York City, Philadelphia and Boston – the band’s first performances together on the East coast in over three years. “I can’t even begin to describe the feeling of being back on stage after taking that small, but much needed break. The moments shared at shows between the stage and the crowd is overwhelming, and something I’ve missed for so long. Like seeing old friends, and being able to catch up.”
The solo tour will kick off in his home state of Michigan, on October 25 at The Crofoot’s Pike Room in Pontiac, MI. All upcoming tour dates for Owens’ solo performances and reunion shows with Chiodos can be seen below, with additional shows for each to be announced soon. VIP/pre-sale tickets are now on sale via craigowenstix.com, with general public tickets going on sale in early September.
“What I’m looking forward to mostly on this run of solo dates – is the intimate connection with the people who support what it is that I do and enjoy the music that I write and perform,” Owens concludes. “Small venues, conversations, eye contact and building relationships with my supporters is probably on the top of my list of things to do while on the road. So I look to smile until my cheeks hurt and laugh until I can’t laugh anymore on this upcoming run.”
