DAVENPORT CABINET PREMIERES “SORRY FOR ME” VIDEO

Davenport Cabinet, fresh off the release of their third full-length album Damned Renegades, is now premiering a lyric video for “Sorry for Me”. The video can be seen now at Youtube.com/equalvision!

The Warwick, NY-based outfit formed in 2007 as a solo project for Coheed and Cambria guitarist Travis Stever, and has since expanded into a full band endeavor where he is joined by Tyler Klose (vocals/guitar), Tom Farkas (bass), and Michael Hickey (drums, percussion, vocals).

“I started working on the initial idea of “Sorry for Me” about two years ago,” shares Stever. “After forgetting about it for a while, I started playing the riffs at a Davenport Cabinet rehearsal one day. The band got excited about the idea and we began working on it right then and there. “Sorry for Me” is written from the perspective of someone being let go from a job or relationship they relied on but took for granted. They had been longing for freedom but they start sulking when they get it. A bit of a cynical take on a very usual human reaction.”

Damned Renegades is the follow-up to the band’s 2013 release, Risks in Magic EP (Evil Ink Records). Preceding the EP were two full-length albums: 2013’s Our Machine (Evil Ink Records) and 2008’s Nostalgia in Stereo (Equal Vision Records).

The new album offers Davenport Cabinet’s signature mix of alternative folk, indie rock, and classic rock stylings and earnest lyrical workings.
