Saves The Day‘s Through Being Cool (1999) was released back when its members were only 19 years-old. It was the follow-up to the band’s 1998 debut, Can’t Slow Down, and quickly became an influential album across America with its catchy, youthful anthems like “Shoulder To The Wheel” and “Holly Hox, Forget Me Nots.” To this day, Through Being Cool remains a favorite among die-hard Saves The Day fans, and those looking for their pop-punk laced with morbid lyrics and melodic cynicism.

In 2002, Coheed and Cambria burst onto the music scene unlike any other band in recent memory. The Second Stage Turbine Blade showcased four guys from upstate New York creating music that blended elements of prog-rock, alternative, punk, and classic rock into a diverse wall of sound. The album included the songs “Devil In Jersey City” and “Time Consumer” — a track that featured a guest solo from legendary Bad Brains guitarist, Dr. Know. The Second Stage Turbine Blade marked the beginning of the multi-album saga of Coheed and Cambria, which has helped lead the band into worldwide success with their subsequent releases, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (2003), …From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness (2005), and No World For Tomorrow (2007).
