Eisley announce tour supporting Rooney

Eisley will precede the release of their third album with a U.S. tour in February, supporting Los Angeles band Rooney on all dates. The 21-date run begins February 2 in Albuquerque and includes stops in Kansas City, the Twin Cities, Chicago, Cleveland, Boston, Washington DC, Nashville, Denver and other markets. Eisley recently finished a two-month headlining tour of their own, on which they previewed the songs from their new album, which will be released early next year by new label Equal Vision Records. Reviewing the tour kickoff in their hometown of Tyler, Texas, the Dallas Observer commented on “the show stopping ‘Ambulance,’ which is the band’s most personal and powerful song to date. The song, written during one of the band’s darkest times, shows an enormous potential for their future works.” The Newark Star-Ledger also took note of “Ambulance,” writing, “The music is stormy pop-rock, the melodies are acrobatic, and Stacy Dupree-King sings with a kind of command never before captured on an Eisley record. Her performance deepens the spooky feel that the band effortlessly generates.” And after the band’s San Francisco stop, SF Weekly wrote, “A performance like this one lends suspicion the sisters DuPree will do just fine without Warners…. You know they’re hooked when the announcement of a couple of new songs gets loud applause.”
