Tyler, TX-based indie pop outfit Eisley is now premiering “Defeatist” – their first new song in over three years – via Billboard.com.

“‘Defeatist’ is about fighting for something or someone you love with passion and devotion, no matter the cost,” reveals Sherri DuPree-Bemis. “When you know someone is worth fighting for, you fight ’til the death. It’s about belonging to something bigger than yourself and not letting your own insecurities trip you up from having everything that you want.”

The stunning track comes from the Eisley’s highly anticipated fifth full-length, which was produced by Will Yip (Circa Survive, Balance & Composure, Lauryn Hill) and will be released in 2017 by Equal Vision Records.

The new album stays true to form of the band’s signature dreamy sound, with DuPree-Bemis elaborating, “Musically, you could say it’s classic Eisley, in the sense that it’s melodic, moody pop and is written from the heart. Lyrically, it’s very whimsical; it has a vibe that will take you into its own world and let you escape your normal life for a few minutes. I like to cloak things in a little mystery and romance; I think it’s part of what makes all of Eisley’s songs sound like they’re from the same world. Every record is like opening and reading a book in a series.”

The band is currently on a full US tour supporting The Dear Hunter. Eisley has also added in several one-off headline shows interspersed throughout the upcoming routing. All tour dates can be found below.

Eisley’s current tour lineup includes: Sherri DuPree-Bemis (vocals, guitars), Christie DuPree (vocals), Garron DuPree (bass), Remington DuPree (drums), Elle Puckett (lead guitars, vocals) and Jedidiah Lachmann (keys).
