TWO TONGUES ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM; RELEASE FIRST SONG “AZALEA”
Two Tongues have released the lead single “Azalea” today from their upcoming album Two. Comprised of Max Bemis of Say Anything and Chris Conley of Saves The Day, “Azalea” is the first taste of new music the band has released since 2009. Their new full length album, mixed by Chris and Rob Schnapf, is set to be released via Equal Vision Records on October 14th, and is now available for pre-order here. You can listen to “Azalea” now.
Two Tongues will also be embarking on their first ever tour this fall, following the release of Two Tongues Two. In addition to a headlining full band set, the show will feature a special collaborative set with Bemis and Conley sharing the stage to trade off playing songs from their respective band’s collection. Also performing on the full US tour is Worcester, MA-based newcomers Backwards Dancer. The four-piece outfit will also serve as the backing band for Two Tongues.
Two Tongues is the collaboration of longtime friends Max Bemis and Chris Conley that formed in 2008, originating from a cover of Bob Dylan’s “The Man In Me” that the two had worked on together. Bemis and Conley released their debut self titled album in 2009, and made their first live appearance in 2010. Since then, both Bemis and Conley have been busy with their bands. Say Anything released a surprise album I Don’t Think It Is earlier this year, followed by a national tour. Saves The Day has also toured extensively, with sets at FYF Fest, Taste of Chaos, and have an upcoming tour with Coheed and Cambria set for this year. Two Tongues Two will be released on October 14th.
