We Came As Romans announce expanded ‘Understanding What We’ve Grown to Be’
Detroit, MI’s We Came As Romans has teamed up with with Hot Topic for the exclusive premiere of the band’s innovative new video for “Let These Words Last Forever”. Offering a full cinematic storyline with simultaneous lyrical representation of the song through animated typography, the video displays a creative hybrid of a lyric video and traditional music video.
Lyricist/guitarist Joshua Moore elaborates on the release of new material stating, “We are really excited to be releasing new, original music for the first time in over a year, and we thought the best way to do this was to release a song that combines the best elements of To Plant A Seed and Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be. “Let These Words Last Forever”, along with two more new songs we will be releasing, shows the direction we are headed in for our next album. We’re striving for the best combination of progression and staying true to our original roots.”
“Let These Words Last Forever” was recorded with producer Machine (Chiodos, Lamb Of God, Armor For Sleep) and mixed/mastered by John Feldmann (The Used, All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco). The single premiered Monday night on Detroit, MI alternative rock station 89X and is now available through retailers such as iTunes and Amazon. The song will also appear on We Came As Romans’ upcoming digital deluxe release of Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be that will be available on January 8.
The expanded version of the band’s sophomore full-length release will feature three new songs. Accompanying the aforementioned single will be “Hope” and “The King of Silence” – both of which were recorded with Feldmann earlier this year. We Came As Romans is set to re-enter the studio with Feldmann in March 2013 to record their third full-length album, following their run on the 2013 Take Action Tour with The Used.
A physical deluxe version of the album will be released in March 2013 and will also include a DVD of new, never-before-seen/behind-the-scenes tour footage, exclusive band interviews, and live performance segments. More details on a release date and pre-order packages for the physical version will be announced soon.
We Came As Romans has appeared on the covers of Alternative Press and Substream Music Press magazines, the front pages of the NJ Star-Ledger and Asbury Park Press newspapers, featured on video displays in 850+ Journeys stores, in Revolver Magazine, Guitar World, Rock Sound, Kerrang!, Outburn Magazine, AMP Magazine, and on RollingStone.com, Nikon.com, MTV Buzzworthy Blog, Axe Body Spray Sites, and Sirius XM Liquid Metal.
