William Beckett and Set It Off announce tour with We Are the In Crowd
Equal Vision Records’ William Beckett and Set It Off will tour together this Spring, supporting We Are The In Crowd; Rounding out the lineup will be State Champs and Candy Hearts.
Both William Beckett and Set It Off performed on the entirety of the 2013 Vans Warped Tour and both have new songs out now on Punk Goes Christmas. A lyric video for Beckett’s rendition of “Do You Hear What I Hear” can be found HERE and a brand new music video for Set It Off’s original song “This Christmas (I’ll Burn It To The Ground)” will be premiered in the coming weeks.
William Beckett, former frontman to The Academy Is…, has just released Genuine & Counterfeit – his debut full-length album as a solo artist. The album was recorded earlier this year in his hometown of Chicago, IL with producer Marc McClusky (Weezer, Ludo) and embraces his expansive vocal range, pop sensibilities, quirky yet soothingly hypnotic melodies and distinctive narrative lyrical twists; Offering his most diverse stylings and personal material to date. Genuine & Counterfeit also features guest vocal appearances from Say Anything’s Max Bemis and Mayday Parade’s Derek Sanders.
Beckett toured extensively over the course of the year, including tour dates in the US and Australia with the likes of Relient K, Hellogoodbye, Rick Springfield, Anberlin, The Maine and the aforementioned 2013 Vans Warped Tour.
Set It Off is currently touring in support of Cinematics, their debut full-length album that was originally released in September 2012 and re-issued as an expanded edition this summer, featuring four extra tracks – including two brand new songs “Partners In Crime” (featuring Ash Costello of New Years Day) and “Kill The Lights”, as well as an acoustic version of “Dream Catcher” and a remix of “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead”. The band is currently writing for a new full-length album and will enter the studio in Spring 2014.
Set It Off toured nearly non-stop throughout the year with the likes of Yellowcard, Tonight Alive, Chiodos, I the Mighty, Every Avenue, and many more, all throughout the US, Canada, Japan and UK/Europe.
To wrap up 2013, Set It Off will embark on a short East Coast run with Equal Vision Records’ alumni Chiodos. All upcoming individual tour dates for Set It Off and William Beckett can be found below, as well as all shows together with We Are The In Crowd.
